DANIEL STREET (DAN) was born and raised in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. Dan graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1967. Thereafter, he attended Northeast Louisiana University (NLU, now known as the University of Louisiana – Monroe or ULM) in Monroe, Louisiana. Dan was able to use his first year of law school at LSU as his fourth year of his undergraduate studies and was awarded his undergraduate degree from NLU in 1971. Dan graduated from law school at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1973 in the top 20% of his class.
After graduating from law school, Dan was chosen to be an Army lawyer in the Judge Corps of the United States Army. Dan served four years in the United States Army as a captain, trying cases and doing other legal work. He served three years at Fort Gordon, Georgia and one year in the Republic of Korea. After being Honorably Discharged in 1977, Dan returned to Monroe, Louisiana, where he went to work for the law firm of Kostelka & Swearingen. Later, the firm became Kostelka, Swearingen & Street. In 1982, he joined the firm Bruscato, Loomis, Deal & Street, which later became Bruscato, Loomis & Street. He practiced there until 1992.
Dan opened his own law office in 1992 and practiced as a solo practitioner until 1996 when his son, D. Randolph Street, graduated from law school and joined him in the practice. The firm became The Law Offices of Street & Street and he and his son practiced together since that time.
DANIEL STREET is authorized to practice law in Louisiana State Courts, including the Louisiana Supreme Court, in the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States Court of Military Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a Notary Public. He is a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice.
